A spa is judged as much on its atmosphere as on its treatments, and the material on the walls plays a direct part in that. The Óros decorative panel reproduces a rock face in mineral resin over a rigid core: 1.38 m² covered per panel, under 10 kg per square metre, up to 85 mm of depth, glued onto the existing wall. It handles the ambient humidity of transition areas, changing areas, corridors, tea lounges, relaxation rooms and treatment rooms.

WHERE TO FIT IT IN A WELLNESS SPACE

The panel goes on the welcome and reception wall, the first impression a client forms of the place, on the relaxation room and the tea lounge, on the circulation corridors that make the transition between the outside world and the world of treatment, on the changing areas, and on the main wall of a treatment room. It handles the ambient humidity of all these zones and works in new builds as in renovations, on moisture-resistant plasterboard, old tiling, concrete or painted surfaces, with nothing stripped out first.

Lighting does the rest. A spa works with indirect light by nature: LED strips in coves, downward-facing wall lights, low warm sources. That is precisely the kind of light that runs along a surface and brings out its shadows, where frontal light would flatten it. At around 2700 K the texture deepens and the mineral warms up, which is exactly the mood these places are after.

WHY ÓROS IN A SPA OR SALON

Acoustics is the first argument, and the one people think of least. A relaxation room, a corridor or a treatment room are enclosed volumes with hard surfaces, where the slightest noise bounces around and destroys exactly what the client came for. The rigid foam core and the surface texture absorb some of those reflections, where a painted or tiled wall sends them all straight back. In a place whose product is calm, the effect is felt straight away.

The second argument is the work itself. A salon or a hotel spa does not close willingly: every day shut is a direct loss of revenue. Óros installation is dry, with no mortar, no water, no demolition and no rubble, so no dust to contain and no noise for the treatment rooms next door. It can be planned zone by zone or outside opening hours, onto the existing finish, which stays put.

The logistics follow the same logic. A panel weighs 13 kg for 1.38 m² and can be handled by one person, where natural stone slabs would require lifting equipment and a structural check. On a hotel floor served by a single lift, or in a converted basement, the difference is decisive.

INSTALLING YOUR ÓROS PANEL: WHAT TO KNOW

Installation is within reach of a DIYer with a jigsaw and a caulking gun. The panel is glued straight onto the existing wall, with no stripping out and no building work, on plasterboard, wood, tile, concrete and painted surfaces. The substrate simply needs to be dust-free, dry and sound. KÓLLA adhesive has enough initial grab to hold the panel as soon as you press it on by hand: no props, nothing to hold in place while it cures.

For upkeep, a vacuum with a brush attachment or a slightly damp sponge is enough; avoid dry cloths and scouring pads, which catch in the texture.
